Tony Scudiero
(a.k.a. Destrago Z. Scudiero)
Tony Scudiero, who also goes by the internet nickname Destrago Z. Scudiero is an undergraduate double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. Tony's interests in the lab involve sound and audio cues for sound source location as well as perception of geometry based on acoustical effects (such as echo, reverb, and spectral shifts).

Tony is developing a realtime audio rendering system for VR based on the beam-tracing concepts developed by Thomas Funkhouser . The system will communicate with high end audio gear using the Steinberg ASIO (Audio Streaming I/O) library and cards which support the interface.

Tony's interest in audio stems from his alter-ego as a musician. With his band Noize Incorporated, Tony has been writing music and recording using digital audio technology since 1996. Tony plays the keyboard, traditional flutes, & sings. He also does most of the sequencing, programming, and arranging, and is currently learning the guitar. Having pieced together five home recorded albums using his knowledge of digital audio and the equipment available to him, Tony is extremely familiar with the concepts of digital audio and has much experience with most parts of the recording studio environment. Tony is pictured on this page in his resonably sized home studio.
